College Scholarship Fundraising Program

Dear Friends,

Please allow me to introduce you to the Queens of Popcorn and our products.  We have been in business for two years, retailing our gourmet popcorn, old- fashioned candies and popcorn novelties. We also offer gift baskets and gift boxes. 

In 2006, we created a fundraising division of the company that offers an affordable, yet delicious popcorn for sale to schools and non-profit organizations in the Chicago-land area.

We experienced great success in this area and seek now to expand even further.  

Because the Queens of Popcorn is a socially conscience company, and in keeping with our mission, we have further developed our fundraising division to include fundraising for college. We are proud to announce our “Popcorn For College” Fundraising Program.

Every child who wants to attend college deserves the opportunity to do so.  The Queens of Popcorn, have developed a program that will offer any student who desires, the chance to raise money for the future of their education. 

Beginning the summer of 2007, we will launch these efforts. The program will operate every June-August thereafter.

Every child enrolled in grades 3-12 is eligible to sell QOP Fundraising Popcorn and use the proceeds for college! (Parents or legal guardians must be willing to establish a college fund with fundraising proceeds in order to participate in program)

QOP has partnered with Bank of America (Tinley Park) who will open the scholarship savings accounts for free and make a $25.00 contribution to the account, when activated and contribute every cycle that the student participates. 

Bank of Americawill also sponsor a financial planning workshop every cycle (June thru August) for every student enrolled in the “Popcorn For College” Fundraising Program.

A generous 25% of gross sales go directly to the student, which he/she deposits.   In addition, a small donation per sales cycle is given to the sponsoring organization to spend any way it chooses.

Any philanthropic society, or non-profit organization (501C) is qualified to sponsor this fundraising program.  The fundraising program is especially great for churches, social organizations and scholarship-granting entities.

The sponsoring organization may present the campaign and use the 25% of gross sales to compliment a pre-existing scholarship program or use the funds to begin one.  In this case, we will implement our Incentive Program to encourage the participants to sell the maximum amount of popcorn to help your organization reach its financial goals.

We accomplish this by providing a great product and sharing a generous profit with you!  We make it simple.   You take the orders and you collect the money.  We provide the popcorn (in six delicious flavors) and deliver the order directly to you, good and fresh!  We even put your organization’s name and colors you choose, on the popcorn bags!
